Lynden Doctors

Dr. John McGiffin

Dr. John McGiffin is a proud alumnus of Indiana University (Go Hoosiers!!) where he graduated with his doctorate from the School of Optometry in 2012. He joined Vision Plus in March 2013 and is excited to see patients at our new Lynden location. Dr. McGiffin has trained at various clinics including The Eye Center of Southern Indiana, the prestigious John-Kenyon American Eye Institute in Louisville, Kentucky and the Center for Visual Rehabilitation in Guanajuato, Mexico. He is part of a small but growing number of optometrists in Washington state certified to perform certain in office surgical procedures to meet the needs of his patients. In his free time he enjoys coaching youth basketball, or you might see him cheering on the Lynden High School teams.
Dr. Jennifer Cutinho

Dr. Cutinho is committed to providing thorough comprehensive vision exams for patients of all ages. She grew up in British Columbia, Canada where she completed her degree in Biological Sciences before earning her Doctor of Optometry at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. During her clinical rotations in Port Alberni, Los Angeles, Spokane and Honolulu, she had the honor of interning across several specialties – including contact lenses, pediatrics, and ocular disease. Empathy, knowledge and compassion remain at the forefront of Dr. Cutinho’s approach to clinical care. She remains an active and engaged member of the optometric community, continually striving to advance her skills and stay informed of the latest medical research topics. When she is not assessing vision and ocular health, you will likely find her reading, painting, hiking or spending time with her closest family and friends. Whether you're due for your annual eye exam or have specific vision concerns, we invite you to schedule with her and experience her exceptional care firsthand!


Dr. Daniel Best

Daniel Best was born in Southern California and worked as an accountant until 1996. A passion for science and a strong desire to help people led him to pursue further education at The Ohio State University, where he completed a bachelor's degree in biology followed by a doctorate in Optometry in 2004. Dr. Best was thrilled to relocate to Bellingham with his wife and son, and loves living close to the mountains, ocean and spectacular outdoor beauty of the Pacific Northwest. When he's not seeing patients, he enjoys playing video games with his son, concerts, reading, and gardening.
Dr. Brook Walker

Brook Walker: A Montana native, Dr. Brook Walker enjoys everything the Northwest has to offer. He has studied Human Development and received a B.S. from Brigham Young University. Graduating with a Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University College of Optometry. When Dr. Walker is not caring for patients, he enjoys spending time with his wife and five children doing a variety of activities. He currently sees patients at the Ferndale Vision Plus inside Haggen.


Dr. Mark Aginsky

Dr. Mark Aginsky is a South Africa–born optometrist with extensive international training and more than 25 years of clinical experience in the Pacific Northwest. He earned optometric degrees in South Africa, England, and the United States, reflecting a broad and rigorous educational background.
Prior to settling in the Northwest, Dr. Aginsky completed a clinical tenure at the Brooke Army Medical Center at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. He currently provides comprehensive eye care to patients at our Bellingham and Lynden locations.
