Ferndale Doctors
Dr. Brook Walker
A Montana native, Dr. Brook Walker enjoys everything the Northwest has to offer. He has studied Human Development and received a B.S. from Brigham Young University. Graduating with a Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University College of Optometry. When Dr. Walker is not caring for patients, he enjoys spending time with his wife and five children doing a variety of activities. He currently sees patients at the Ferndale Vision Plus inside Haggen.
Dr. Dan Best
Daniel Best was born in Southern California and worked as an accountant until 1996. A passion for science and a strong desire to help people led him to pursue further education at The Ohio State University, where he completed a bachelor's degree in biology followed by a doctorate in Optometry in 2004. Dr. Best was thrilled to relocate to Bellingham with his wife and son, and loves living close to the mountains, ocean and spectacular outdoor beauty of the Pacific Northwest. When he's not seeing patients, he enjoys playing video games with his son, concerts, reading, and gardening.
Dr. Deborah Wu
Dr. Deborah Wu grew up on the east coast before moving to Bellingham a few years ago. She received her optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston. She enjoys watching movies and exploring new trails in the PNW. Dr. Wu sees patients at the Sunset clinic and James St.
Dr. Curt Fritts-Davis
Dr. Curt Fritts-Davis studied Biomedical Engineering at NC State before receiving a Doctor of Optometry and Master of Vision Science at Ohio State. While there, he also completed a residency in vision rehabilitation and served as an assistant clinical professor. Curt practices comprehensive, evidence-based eyecare with special interest in helping patients with low vision regain independence with visual tasks. Curt spends his free time adventuring outdoors with his spouse, or crafting indoors with his cat.
Dr. Jared Rahn
Dr. Jared Rahn grew up in the Pacific Northwest attending Lake Stevens High School and the University of Washington. He received degrees in Biochemistry and History in 2017. He ventured to the East Coast for his doctorate, graduating valedictorian from the State University of New York.
Dr. Rahn is ecstatic to return to Washington and join our team! He and his wife, Kelly, are excited to plant their roots in the Pacific Northwest and join this wonderful community.
When Dr. Rahn isn't in the office, he is likely hiking, skiing, playing basketball, traveling or watching sports.
